Name: Raevyn Del'Mourne, of House Del'Mourne
Age: 24
Height/Weight: 105lb/5'4"
Hometown/Region: Driftveil City, Unova
Faction: Thieves (Reinhart)
Extra items: Enchanted ebon bow named 'Shadow Bite' (gift from a grateful mage), quiver and arrows, set of lock picks, collection of wax keys, some loot for bartering, Felix's pokeball, Bruiser's pokeball

PERSONALITY

Highly intelligent, thrill-seeking, and with an irreverant sense of humor, Raevyn can easily navigate the seediest crowds, talking her way into (or out of) just about any situation. And where her quick wit and quicker toungue fail her, there's always her handy set of lock-picks...and her enchanted bow Shadow Bite, if things get particularly rough.

Although she loves to show off, Raevyn is also ruthlessly practical, and will always go with the easiest solution. Unless said solution involves killing an innocent or stealing from the poor, damn her contemptable morals. She blames her white knight brother, Captain Del'Mourne of Castelia City, for that, although to her mind killing in general tends to be an option of last resort. A thief, if caught, would be thrown in a cell-- an assassin would be hung.

An excellent thief and marksman, Raevyn is nonetheless rather lacking as a pokemon battler. To her, pokemon are either partners-in-crime or guards to be avoided. But now that she is being haunted and routinely possessed by an extremely powerful ghost pokemon, however, Raevyn is beginning to rethink her lax attitude toward battling...

HISTORY

Raevyn was born into the wealthy and powerful Del'Mourne family in Driftveil city.

Though she was raised among nobles and trained from the moment she could walk to be a high-born lady, Raevyn's love of adventure and mischief set her at odds with her family. She was bored to tears by the prospect of being married off to some wealthy lord and spending her days working on dainty embroidery, so she began training with her older brother, Joseph, in secret. Joseph, who adored his little sister beyond all reason and sympathized with her plight, taught her all he knew of swordplay, daggers, and archery from his own knight training. Though small and slender, Raevyn proved to be astonishingly agile, and frighteningly accurate with a bow (though her abilities with a blade were less than stellar).

But though Joseph trained her in weapons and hand-to-hand combat, he was very protective of his sister, and refused to take her out into the city for practical lessons. So Raevyn began to sneak out alone with Felix, her furret, in the dead of night, armed with only her bow and an old black cloak for disguise. For years she ran the twisting, narrow streets of the mountainous city, and slowly she learned the ways of the thief. The street urchins taught her to run faster than any guard, to jump as high and far as a grasshopper, and to climb seemingly unscalable walls. The beggars taught her how to pass unnoticed in the middle of a crowd, and how to lighten a pocket without being caught. The thieves taught her how to pick any lock, and how to creep through a room without making a sound.

Raevyn endeared herself to the underbelly of the city with her quick wit and irreverent humor-- and her penchant for stealing the purses of nobles and giving them to her poor teachers. Felix too became something of a celebrity, as the furret had proven to be as clever and nible-fingered as his mistress, and soon Raevyn could not imagine picking a lock without him perched on her shoulder.

The peaceful time spent as a noble lady during the day and a budding thief at night did not last long, however. As her 20th birthday approached, Raevyn's father began seeking a wealthy suitor for his young daughter. Fearing for her freedom, and longing for the thrill of making a name for herself as a thief, Raevyn concocted a plan to escape from her family. When her father made plans to send her to Castelia City to meet a potential suitor, Raevyn began making plans of her own. She wrote a letter to her dear brother explaining what she had been doing in secret for so many years and telling him not to fear for her, and hid it in the secret place where they had practiced for so long. Then, in her carriage on the way to Castelia City, she set her plan into motion, faking her death and escaping into the wilderness.

And on the same day that history would tell of Raevyn Del'Mourne tragically plunging off the Driftveil bridge to her death, Raevyn the Thief slipped quietly into Castelia city to begin her less-than-legal career.

For two years Raevyn plied her craft in and around Castelia city, taking great delight in lifting treasures from the families she had mingled with as a member of a noble house. Soon she had made quite a name for herself among the other
thieves, who called her simply Shadow for her silent, stealthy ways. But though her skills earned her a great deal of attention and respect (she practically did flips when she saw the first Wanted posters displaying only the name 'Shadow'
and a vague drawing of a cloaked figure), they also drew the curiosity of her brother.

Now a knight stationed in Castelia City, Joseph had long suspected that his sister had faked her death. The years had not diminished his love for his sister, and he began to search for her. But when she evaded him, knowing that he would be
duty-bound to turn her in for her crimes, he grew desperate and anguished, and began to curse her for the all-consuming
guilt he felt at having played a hand in turning his bright young sister into a creature of the night. Soon his secret
outings to seedy pubs to look for information warped and evolved, until he lead the Enforcer unit tasked with hunting down The Shadow, one of the most infamous thieves in all of Castelia city.

Raevyn, for her part, became angry and embittered at the rift growing between her and her brother, and unable to stay another night in the same city as her newly minted arch-enemy she left Castelia City and began to travel the region, looking for grander and grander heists, hoping that the thrill would help ease the hole in her heart. But her brother, now Captain Del'Mourne, hunted her relentlessly wherever she went. After two years of dancing around her arch-enemy, Raveyn decided it was time to pull another disappearing act-- and this time, she went far to the north, all the way to the Moor of Icirrus, seeking out the fabled thieves
guild in hopes of finding a substitute family to help stem the pain....

POKEMON

Felix/Furret
Gender: Male
Nature: Naughty
Attacks: [Thief] [Fury Swipes] [Foresight] [Swagger]
A wily trickster originally given to Raevyn by her father as a 'lady's pet', Felix is Raevyn's faithful partner-in-crime... and practically her mini-me. When not perched on her shoulder hissing at anyone who comes too close, he can often be found attempting to copy her motions, and had even mastered something close to speech, which he and Raevyn will sometimes use to communicate. They often don't need words, however, since long years living and stealing together have made Felix so in tune with his mistress that he can often anticipate her commands before she gives them. He lives to please her, and has a knack for stealing shiny objects. When forced into battle (which isn't often, since Raevyn's modus operandi is to flee and live to steal another day) Felix can use his uncanny foresight to land his sharp-clawed blows with deadly accuracy.

Bruiser/Poochyena
Gender: Male
Nature: Jolly
Attacks: [Crunch] [Take Down] [Roar] [Endure]
Still only a puppy, Bruiser was originally owned by the overseer of a wealthy estate, who used a pack of Mightyena to guard against any potential thieves. Bruiser, despite his eager nature, was just a bit too clumsy and inept for the overseer, who routinely shouted at him and beat him. When Raevyn attempted to sneak into the estate where Bruiser was being kept, he was the only poochyena sharp enough to spot her and clever enough to follow and corner her. But despite his eagerness to do his job, Bruiser was just as eager to be pet by the cloaked human who smelled like metal and leather and kind things, and Raevyn easily charmed him into showing her the secret passage way into the estate. And when she left, it seemed only natural for Bruiser to follow her, which he did. Raevyn adopted the useless guard puppy, intending to use him as a heavy-hitter when things got rough. She soon found, however, that despite the poochyena's heart of gold and willingness to please,
that it was simply too wrenching to send him into battle, as the brave little thing would take more of a beating than a
full grown mightyena could handle and still not give up, even if there was no possibility of him winning. Instead, she keeps
him in reserve, training him when she can with the hope that the silly, happy, lovable thing she couldn't bear to abandon
would some day evolve into a fearsome Mightyena.

Spook/Haunter (shiny)
Gender: ???
Nature: ???
Attacks: [Will-o-wisp] [Confuse Ray] [Hex] [Destiny Bond]
Spook has no pokeball because it isn't truly Raevyn's pokemon. And she wouldn't want it even if she had the nerve to attempt to catch it. The ghost pokemon started following her when she investigated an old ruined castle at the edge of Driftveil city, and she wonders if perhaps she was cursed for trespassing. Although absent more often than not, Spook can sometimes be found trailing after her like a demented shadow, or lurking in the dark corners of the room whenever she is near. Spook will occasionally come when summoned, but seems to take great pleasure in making itself scarce when most needed. It will sometimes possess her when she is sleeping, and she will awaken to find herself in strange places with no memory of how she got there. Even more rarely, Spook will attempt to possess her while she is awake, although she puts up a vicious fight every time. In those instances she is aware of everything that goes on around her, although her level of control over her own body varies.
At first Raevyn believed that Spook's intent was to torment her, but the absence of pain during possession and the very precise timing of the ghost taking control lead her to wonder if there are other motivations at work...
